About Me

Hello everyone! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. My name is Andréa Rottman. I am a Master Herbalist and Aromatherapist, a wife, a mom of two, and a Nana to eight, now residing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As a child immigrant from South America, I witnessed my family build a new life from the ground up. Growing up between two cultures gave me a unique perspective, and the themes of adaptation often inspire my life. Because of the cultural and physical challenges I experienced, I am a chronic “do-it-yourselfer.” I am passionate about family, friends, my faith, holistic health, and wellness. I love growing herbs, flowers, and vegetables, and working with all things botanical. I am happiest outside working in the soil or spending time with others.

My grandmother inspired my fascination with plants as I watched her lovingly tend to our herb garden at home. I have warm memories of her going into the backyard to pick peppermint leaves to make me tea when I struggled with nausea as a child. Unfortunately, I spent my childhood in and out of doctors’ offices with persistent gut and neurological issues. As I got older, I became increasingly frustrated with the constant doctor's visits, financial strain, and lack of lasting solutions. My background was in pharmaceuticals. My experiences as a hospital pharmacy tech, my personal health struggles, and working in the pharmaceutical industry helped push me towards exploring more natural healing modalities.

My health issues and life experiences motivated me to pursue an education at the American College of Health Sciences (ACHS) in Portland, Oregon. After over 50 years of searching for a lasting solution, I embraced a lifelong dream of enrolling in and pursuing a holistic health education to better understand how my body functions and explore various natural, holistic modalities. Pursuing dual diplomas in herbalism and aromatherapy through ACHS aligned beautifully with my lifelong passion for gardening, holistic health, and other botanical interests.

I earned a diploma in aromatherapy in December 2023 and graduated as a Master Aromatherapist. Then I decided to further my botanical education and enrolled in the Herbal Studies Master Herbalist program. I graduated in June 2025. I am a passionate and perpetual learner, and I am finishing my Holistic Health Practice diploma with an emphasis on nutrition through ACHS. Twenty-twenty-six will be a busy year for me! I plan to sit for the national exam to earn a Registered Aromatherapist credential, take the exam for board certification in Holistic Nutrition through the National Association of Nutritional Professionals, and sit for the exam for the unique credential, Certified Dietary Supplement Professional.™

My passion for understanding the human body, holistic health, and botanical therapies has fueled my dedication to supporting myself and others through their personal health journeys.  I’m honored to come alongside you, offering knowledge, support, and compassion as you explore your own path to balanced wellness.
